Trust Grade Registrar in Stroke Medicine

Cradlefin Consultants are recruiting for a Trust Grade Registrar in Stoke Medicine to join one of the largest Trusts in England due to the expanding service. The Trust is based in the Midlands region and provides outpatient services to a growing population of 750,000 across the area.

Main duties:

• Support the stroke consultant rota with new stroke admissions, TIA clinic and ward rounds and outpatient clinics
• To review inpatients in a ward liaison capacity with the support from the consultant body.
• To respond to queries and provide advice when asked by other specialties and local GPs.
• To perform stroke clinics via telephone or in person for stroke follow-up patients.
• To support the ward when possible whilst supporting the junior team for advice and with ward duties when required, attending the weekly stroke multi-disciplinary team meeting where patient cases may require summarizing and discussion and performing ward rounds when required.
• To participate in clinical meetings and governance meetings including M&M and academic sessions

Requirements:

• GMC registration with a license to practice
• MRCP holder
• ALS
• Good and wide ranging recent experience of clinical medicine in acute inpatient setting in a large acute hospital
• UK experience at ST3 level
