Cradlefin Consultants are recruiting for an an experienced compliance professional to the newly created role of Quadrant Compliance Manager. Working with the South Quadrant Assistant Director and Academy Principals, the position will oversee all aspects of compliance for the South Quadrant in London. This role will involve regular travel to each of the academy sites and will have a base site in Morden.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and track general compliance activity in academies as detailed in the Federation’s ‘General Compliance in Academies’ key document
  • Ensure that Lead staff in each academy are supported, developed and challenged to ensure that they take responsibility at a local level for statutory and Federation compliance
  • Provide and co-ordinate professional development in areas of compliance for academy-based staff
  • Liaise with the central Federation team on behalf of academies to ensure compliance issues or concerns are dealt with quickly and effectively
  • Support academy staff in preparing for external and internal audits across all compliance areas
  • Work with Principals, advising them on compliance in all areas of their academy, and supporting their team where appropriate and where requested
  • Regularly report to the Assistant Director on trends, improvements and issues in the Quadrant across all compliance areas
  • Support the Assistant Director in conducting academy Compliance and Safeguarding Reviews (CSR), taking the lead on Quality Standard checks/controls as directed
  • Support the Assistant Director with the administration of Business Performance Scrutiny Groups (BPSGs), including providing professional challenge to academies as required
  • Implement and action areas of focus raised by the Director of Risk and Compliance; raising any areas of concern which need Head Office oversight or direction
  • Attend termly meetings with Federation Heads of Central Services to facilitate the two-way exchange of knowledge between academies and the central team
  • Support, in liaison with the central Finance team, any independent audit on FSM by external agencies

Qualifications & Experience

We would like to hear from you if you have:

  • At least five years’ experience working an office environment
  • At least two years’ experience of managing a team
  • Education to degree level or equivalent
  • Good verbal and written communication skills and working with stakeholders
  • Knowledge of Microsoft software packages
  • Secure knowledge of health and safety legislation
  • Secure knowledge of human resources legislation
  • Basic knowledge of financial procedures
  • Knowledge of procurement processes
  • Knowledge of the key principles of staff management (desirable)
  • Experience of working in an inner-city academy or educational establishment (desirable)
  • Professional qualification e.g. CIPD or equivalent to NVQ Level 4 (desirable)
