Cradlefin consultants are recruiting for Internationally qualified Children’s Social Workers with a variety of experience and skills. We’re looking for confident and dynamic individuals who enjoy making a difference in their local community, are curious and spot things that others might not see, enjoys building relationships and likes to explore possibilities.
As a Children & Families Social Worker your focus will be to support children, their family and network to achieve positive change that continues after we no longer need to be involved. You will create conditions that allow relationships to flourish with a system built to deliver this outcome. Keeping children safe and families together, the right intervention at the right time in the right place.
Job Responsibilities:
- Act as the lead professional and ensure all matters in respect of safeguarding are dealt with promptly, effectively and in line with child protection procedures, escalating where necessary
- Undertake assessments to identify and respond to needs, building on strength and ensuring that analysis is robust and leads to clear outcomes that can be met through SMART targets
- Engage with children, young people, and their families to develop effective and empowering relationships which facilitate change and improve outcomes
- Produce reports and plans for a variety of forums, including court, which are child focussed and reflect their experience
- You will be compassionate, resilient and committed to being a positive role model
- Able to do overnight sleep-ins which are part of the role
- Confident in managing challenging behaviours
Benefits & Requirements:
- You must be qualified Social Worker with an Honours Degree or Diploma in Social Work or Qualification in Social Work recognised by Social Work England
- 3 year”s minimum post-qualifying experience working with Children and Families
- Social Work England registration before applying
- Full, valid driving licence that will allow you to drive in the UK (there will be an expectation that you convert your driving licence to a UK licence if successful)
- Manageable caseloads with support from a highly experienced management team
- Minimum of four hours dedicated professional development time every month.
- Personalised training budgets to spend on accredited post qualifying modules from local universities or other course providers
