Job Description

Cradlefin Consultants are recruiting for Midwives outside the UK who are in a process of their NMC registration and planning their future in Midwifery in the United Kingdom. If you have recently received your NMC Midwifery pin number or you are working towards it, apply now! We have an attractive support package and we will provide a comprehensive training to help you pass your OSCE exam.

Main duties:

  • You will be responsible for ensuring that our service users’ needs are met through the delivery of high-quality care
  • You will offer a person-centred approach to antenatal care and subsequent care during the intrapartum and postnatal period
  • You will be responsible for the assessment of care needs, the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care
  • You will be expected to carry out all relevant forms of care and actively work towards achieving the competencies outlined in the midwifery scale
  • To plan, implement and evaluate with the mother, antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care for the mother and her baby ensuring this is carried out by the midwife or other allocated staff
  • Ensure care is contemporary, evidence based and equitable that encompasses spiritual and cultural beliefs and reflects the needs of a diverse society
  • Participate in compiling off duty rotas and be responsible for arranging adequate cover in cases of absence or sudden illness when in charge of a clinical area either in the hospital or community
  • To assist with and participate in in-service training and induction programmes, as relevant

Qualifications and requirements:

  • IELTS or OET cleared and CBT completed
  • Registered Midwife (NMC)
  • Organisational skills and the ability to work effectively within a management structure
  • Effective communicator and team player
  • Basic IT skills
  • Working knowledge of NMC The Code (2015)
  • PREPP in relation to midwifery
  • Willingness to be involved in audit and other projects undertaken by the Trust
  • Knowledge of clinical governance
  • Working knowledge of the Public Health role of the midwife including: Child Protection, Domestic Abuse, Substance Misuse Mental Health, Healthy Weight Management
  • Working knowledge of NMC Midwives Rules and Standards (2012)
  • Analytical skills
