Job Description

Cradlefin Consultants are looking to recruit a motivated Consultants in Acute Medicine to join colleagues in dynamic general medicine services within the NHS in delivering and supporting trusts vision. This new appointment will join the team of established medical consultants working across wales and will have support to develop/maintain a specialist interest.

Main Duties:

  • The successful candidate will be expected to have specialty training and relevant experience in General Medicine. You would work in the General Medical Department and in an area of specialist interest if appropriate
  • You will be responsible for the management of patients presenting to General Hospital with medical problems and will lead a team of junior doctors
  • Within this role there is an opportunity for consultants with a specialist interest and additional skills to promote and develop the service in order to improve diagnosis and management
  • In this post you will contribute to a current on call rota at base on a 1:12 non-resident on call, which you will be expected to reside (for on call purposes) within 30 minutes of the Hospital

Requirements:

  • Full GMC Registration with a license to practice
  • MRCP
  • Evidence of entry on GMC Specialist Register
  • Participate in General Acute unselected take
